Santa Sofia labels restyling,
now pop and colorful

Santa Sofia launches a new line of pop labels. Bright and colorful, they tell of a new phase of their small revolution, wine and cultural, which began 50 years ago with the arrival in the company of the Begnoni family. Green, pink, blue, blue, orange, burgundy: the new labels explain the seasons and the biodiversity of the Veronese territory.
Shades of blue are reserved for the labels of Lake Garda’s wines, as the Croara del Lago Garda Doc born in 2020, the Pinot Grigio del Garda and the Lugana. The new label of the Chiaretto di Bardolino DOC is a bright pink and pays homage to the scents of thyme and marjoram, black cherry and pomegranate that characterize the wine. In Custoza, name of the city and also of the denomination, the label is a bright orange color, which refers to the notes of icing sugar, sweet almonds, tropical fruit and flavors of custard cream.
Moving east, we arrive in the hills of Soave, a green land told by the same color of the new label, a must have wine for every season. Among the reds, Bardolino Classico with the orange label has a tannic taste, between black cherry and licorice, reminiscent of the hills of the homonymous territory with the ruby color and violet reflections. Part of this small revolution is also the Valpolicella Classico from the label of burgundy: a wine of Verona’s tradition, which is presented with good intense acidity in color and on the palate.
“In such an extremely dynamic and rapidly evolving landscape – says Luciano Begnoni, owner of Santa Sofia – we wanted to rethink the colors of the wines of Verona’s appellations, to distinguish ourselves and to convey through a more lively aesthetic, carefree and bright, also a lighter approach for these wines that are finding the best consensus”.
